To be a certified Tournament Appraiser or Official for the Region 1 competition you must attend the Officials’ (Appraiser) Training  on
Saturday, March 3, 2012 from
 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.
Registration is from 8:30 am. to 9:00 am.
Training location has changed.
It is ITT Technical Institute
1030 North Meridian Road
Youngstown, OH 44509-4098.

The Region 1 competition will be at
Youngstown State University on March 17, 2012.

You will receive confirmation of your Official assignment, a copy of the Challenge, and all additional, necessary, informational materials from your DI Coordinator through your Team Manager.  Please call or contact him/her if you have not received the materials by February 24. You must read all the information in your packet before coming to Official’s training and be sure to bring the material with you to training.

When you make this commitment, recognize that the team you represent will be assessed a score deduction if you do not attend both the Officials’ Training on March 3 , 2012 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. and complete your assigned tournament duties from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on March 17, 2012. (Or until released by your Challenge Master).  Also, please be advised that you will not be able leave your job to see any performances on Tournament day in other Challenges or levels than the one you are appraising.

Once you have completed the online registration  form, should anything occur that would prevent you from fulfilling your Appraiser duties you need to notify your Team manager, District Coordinator (if you have one) and Region 1 Appraiser Coordinator as soon as possible!

Lois and Youngstown DI teams invite you their Music and Theatre Event Friday 27 Jan 2012, 5:30 pm – 8:30pm at Taft Elementary School, 730 E. Avondale Ave. Yo. OH.

Friends of D.I present a Musical Extravaganza to support Youngstown’s Destination Imagination teams. Come and join us for an evening of local musical talent, entertainment and an original play written by Youngstown Early College’s Creative Writing Club!

Advance tickets are $10, $12. at the door. Tickets are available at GOLDIE’S FLOWER SHOP, TABERNACLE BAPTIST CHURCH OR LOIS THORNTON AT 330-744-7973 EXT 3176.
