Regional Tournament reminders and "clarifications" General information:If your team qualifies for State competition, you will need to be able to fill in State Tournament forms BEFORE YOU LEAVE YSU on 13 March. Do yourself a favor and assume you're going to qualify, bring the name (and contact information) of a volunteer and a Trained Appraiser to represent your team at state.Instant Challenge (IC)1. Please plan to be at the IC site 20 minutes prior to your scheduled start time.2. Per RotR, only one adult team manager may go into the IC secured area. OKC CM has suggest this be the Team Manager of record (i.e. one of the managers listed on your team's paperwork.) 3. As done last year, and at State and Globals, we will be only admitting student team members to the chill room (if we have a chill room). Thank You for your help and cooperation- Bob & Steve. Challenge 'C' - "You're Gonna Flip"
Please make careful decisions regarding the “Live Visual Art” element in your team’s solution. Be fully aware of #4f of the team challenge and “The Presentation Site, #3” on page 23 in Rules of the Road. We are concerned about materials such as liquid paints, glues, glitter, etc. You must leave the presentation site “performance ready” but you must also be respectful of the entire tournament site. We cannot risk damage to any area of YSU. Therefore, plan on bringing items with you such as large zip-lock bags, sealed containers, plastic garbage bags, etc. to bag up any art materials to take home. Teams will not be allowed to wash out any art materials in any of the bathrooms on campus. Art materials must be bagged up and taken home for proper cleaning or bagged up and disposed of. Failure to follow these rules may result in point deductions for your team. Open containers or containers that are not properly sealed may spill in the prep area or in hallways in the buildings. Any damage done to YSU property will be the responsibility of the team itself and not the responsibility of Region 1 Destination Imagination.
